What is The Kids Theatre Company?
The Company that delivers children’s theatrical productions in Long Beach and the Greater L.A. area… locally grown, written and directed… all at a fair cost to participants with terrific results.
We are so grateful to Kyle and TKTC. My girls are currently in their third show and have loved every minute of it. Kyle and his staff are great with the kids and have a knack for getting the best out of everyone. I am always impressed by how professional the shows are, especially with an all-kid cast! Thanks TKTC for adding excitement to our lives and fostering self-esteem in my girls. — Laurie R.
Our “For Kids. By Kids.” Philosophy
This is where kids ARE the story + TELL the story = For kids. By kids. That’s not always the case in the world of children’s theatre. At TKTC, each production offers parts tailor-made for each actor’s strengths. Every single member of the cast is made to feel that their role is important… because IT IS!
We encourage kids to have fun while they pursue their passion for acting, singing, and performing. And we ensure that they have a safe and encouraging environment. Whether a young actor is an extrovert or introvert, our Directors will provide guidance and space so that each performer finds his or her own voice. Kids are smart; they know when they’ve improved at something they’ve been working on. Personal breakthroughs on a scene or song builds confidence in ways none of us could foresee. That’s the hint of magic we seek to draw out at every opportunity.
Kyle Becker is our talented Creative Director and Founder. With over ten years of experience directing and producing kids theatre, Kyle has uniquely crafted TKTC into an inspiring, collaborative journey for young actors. He’s seen countless kids blossom as individuals through performance and the outlet for self expression it provides. If you’re looking for a great children’s theatre company in Long Beach, California you have found it.
